anyone get pelvic pain with fibro?
I have it is worse than childbirth and everything I have tried has not helped I am topping up on paracetamol as well as a morphine patch, it feels like my pelvis is being pulled in two I feel your pain but the doctor told me it should pass with rest when you cannot even sit down lie down or even stand up been living in the bath for the last couple of days with epsom salts dont have so much pain in the bath. Hope it eases for you soon xx
my sister suffers from pelvic pain, hers is where her ovaries are, and is excruciating for her. She has no children yet and I do hope your pain gets better. has your doctor done hormone tests as I suffered for years undiagnosed with pelvic inflammatory disease and know that the pain from that can stop you doing anything but rock back and forth with the pain, hope this has helped xx
Thanks for answers. Have said to gp who didnt know if was fibro but i have had hysterectomy and aparently ovaries can play up if left. Mine were because i am still too young for menaupause but cant figure out as yet. Taking oxyconti for pain but fed up being dopey.fingers crossed will settle soon, thanks
i am soooo glad i have come across this post because i have been suffering with horrendous pelvic pain for a while now. At one point i though maybe i had cancer cause i had not had my smear done for a good few year. i was glad to hear when i went and had it done last month that all was clear. But now i am still wondering whats causing the pain some days it's like a really sharp pain just grabs hold for a few seconds but there is always this constant cramping in the groin and hip areas. i find sitting down very painful and standing painful because of it. the only time i get relief is when i am lying down.
My hips hurt but not always on the outer side often under the groin area and sometimes the pubic bone but my lower back is always painful, as is my neck which x-rays show has 'wear n tear'! probably like the rest of me then!
My pelvic pain is off the chart and i actually spent 3 months in hospital at the end of last year because docs thought it was other things and couldn't believe it was fibro which i kept telling them it was. They opened me up twice, i had cat scans and mri's. Xrays and blood tests and finally a SHO believed what i was saying but i lost 4 stone in the process because the pain was so bad i couldn't keep anything down.
They finally gave me Gabapentin,Tramadol and Oxycodone which help so much, although i am now in a wheelchair because walking is still so painful.
I hope you find something that helps your pain, I am lucky in that the meds don't make me sleepier than i already was. xxx
Great information, thanks... was on to gp today because of shoulder pain and they are prescribing gabapentin, so hopefully this will add to the cocktail of oxycontin, baclofen and occasional diazapem and help!!!! will keep you posted. x
