Our chair Des Quinn shared a video on International Men's Day to highlight some of the issues that males with fibromyalgia face. We also had the opportunity to speak to Adam Frost from Gardeners World about his experiences with fibromyalgia.

Below is a snippet of the chat we had with Adam sharing what tips he would have liked to give his newly diagnosed self. We will be sharing more of our chat later so keep an eye out.

Thanks to Adam for helping with his awareness efforts.

Should be on our Twitter account and will be on YouTube at some point. Spoke to him for an hour and it whizzed by. Lovely chap.

He is so nice. Him and his family have been dealing with so many mental health issues. Not surprising it may have morphed into fibro. Love the guy.

It’s inspiring to see how Adam Frost from Gardeners' World shares his experience with fibromyalgia, helping to raise awareness and offer support.

If I could give myself advice at the time of my diagnosis, it would be: seek support, stay informed, and listen to your body. Prioritising tasks, resting when needed, and working with your doctor on options like personalised treatments or relaxation exercises can make a big difference. Accepting your limits may be challenging, but it’s an essential step.

Initiatives like this remind us that we are not alone. 👍🙏💪

I like Adam, he's down to earth and takes on some big challenges. Hope he can keep juggling the spoons!

Cheers, Midori

Interesting to listen to a man's perspective on living with a fibromyalgia diagnosis...I'm going to suggest it is easier to be a woman with fibro as we open up more and consider speaking about past traumas through our deep despair...

Very interesting indeed!

I almost feel lucky I've discovered so much on my own...

And it stirred me to get out of my PJs mid afternoon and get walking...

Cheers for such a thoughtful view of fibromyalgia.
