Hi

So just a post to say I am on amitrypyline. I take this at night so that I can get a reasonable nights sleep. This drug really doesn’t get rid of your pain it acts on your receptors in your brain. Sleep is the biggest thing for your coping strategy as I work full time. And yes it’s hard and I’m tired. So a good pain management during the day and gentle stretches mindfulness helps me a lot.

I’ve had Fibro for about 10 years and it is hard to come to terms with but loving yourself and doing what you can and not overdoing it when some days you feel ok. Pacing yourself helps because I can hurt my muscles with a slightest stretch. Keep going there is no cure but this helps. If I took the amitriptyline during the day I would be drowsy hence I take at about 7 at night.
