Hi all. Firstly, can anyone recommend what type of mattress would be good for fibromyalgia sufferers? Also has anyone tried the Therapeutic Medical equipment called Nuga Best? It is recommended for the spine and helps with the nervous system and the blood and sufferers with sciatica. Thank you.

Afternoon Jeannt77,
I cant speak for anyone else of course, I've suffered for more years than I wish to remember, I thought it was be3cause Hubby and I had to get used to claiming our side of the bed,๐, Grrr every mattress we had I felt I was sleeping on pebbles ๐ We must have got through 10 matresses ๐๐ถโ๐ซ๏ธ๐ถโ๐ซ๏ธ๐ถโ๐ซ๏ธ
My nickname was princess, As in Princess and the pea!! (He still calls me his Princess)
When we both had to leave our jobs (Hubby's different ailments and my Fibro)
Just couldn't afford to keep buying,We have different rooms now (Just because I still don't sleep) The best thing was the topper! Spend your money on a good topper not the mattress,
Mine is a soft to medium mattress and a 10cm support topper medium, then a soft 5cm with feathers and then the protect topper, I still feel a little pea is in my bed but it's not all the time
Hope you find the right one soon ๐ด๐ด I also have a giant paper clip thing soft and moulded to how I want to sleep without causing any problems, It's a god send for my sciatica,
If you look on line they will be with maternity section,
Take care

Hi, for about 15 years I had a hybrid memory foam/spring mattress medium to firm, It was really good, this year I decided it needed to go and to buy a new one. I bought another hybrid but its gel/spring, also medium to firm and it's fantastic, usually sleep well on it, you may have seen on another post that I'm not sleeping well because I'm in a flare and my legs are really painful at the moment. I think though, that you should go and try some out to give you some idea. They're not cheap these days!
hello! We have an Emma mattress. I canโt remember what firmness it is but I found them really helpful when we were buying it. They have a chat service so you can talk to someone about your needs and get recommendations. They also do toppers as well so you can manage the firmness of the mattress. My husband and I mostly sleep in separate rooms now also as he has sleep apnoea and keeps me awake and my sleeping has never been great! Hope this helps!
If you go to a dreams shop they have this bed that you lay on and it analyses your body shape and your normal sleeping position. Mine said a firm mattress was needed
I wasted money on a memory foam mattress - I became far too hot and it didn't support me enough. I now use a 2000 spring medium/firm mattress with a topper on my single bed. (I can't bear to sleep with my husband - I need my SPACE to get up, stagger around, take medication, cry in pain sometimes, go downstairs, try to listen to radio etc etc!!!). So for me a decent well sprung mattress, cotton mattress topper and 100 percent cotton bedding as poly/cotton too itchy and sweaty.
