PIP higher rate

Hello,

I had a letter at the end of March to say I’d be receiving a bit more money from 8th April from my PIP . I was still paid the same amount even though it said it would start from the 8th April. I do pay out for my mobility scooter but I was still given the same amount as previous months. Anyone else had this? Thank you in advance 🙂 Have a lovely rest of your day 🥰

Hi I got the same amount as usual on the 4th April but will get the new rate in May x

It may be you won’t get it until May after 4 weeks from 8th April have gone by.

Was this for care or mobility as they are paid at different rates

A mobility scooter would usuall come out of the mobility component

Hi, you will get the new rates in May, but may not see the full increase till beginning of June

The new rates start from 8th April so anything after that date is paid at the new rate

hi, I think pip is payed 3 weeks in arrears so you will see the new rate on your next pip payment in May.

You might find your next payment has it on it because of the date it starts it takes a full week for you to notice I hope you understand this I don't know if I explained it correctly lolxx

I got a little more, I don't believe it was the full amount but I think it's calculated either daily or weekly so we may not see the full amount until the May payments get sent?

Many benefits are actually paid monthly in arrears so you might not actually receive the increase until May.

Probably depends on your payment date, no doubt you'll have full increase next month.
