Hi, I wondered if anyone could help.I've tried duloxetine & even though it helped massively with the pain I had awful side effects.

Any suggestions on other meds please

I was on duloxatine and it worked for a while then stopped working. I am now on pregaline and and have found it to be the best out of all the meds i have been on.

How long were you taking it? The side effects often lessen or stop after a few weeks. (If you’re lucky!). Good luck - hope you find something that suits. ❤️

Hi, I tried Duloxetine for around 5 months and I couldn't tolerate the side affects either 😏. I felt really rough coming off it too so best of luck with that. I tried Amitriptyline before that, again couldn't tolerate the side affects and not nice coming off it. I'm avoiding starting anything else but I'm older than you so have been able to go part time. My children have also left home so I'm finding less work and less stress I'm able to put me first for the first time and this is really helping me to manage the pain and sleep etc. Best of luck with whatever you try next. It's tough x

I had duloxetine ,I found I ok at first ,but down the line it got less effective ,started to make my pain even worse ,and was giving me midranges, breathing problems and I found it harder and harder to sleep, hope this helps ,I hope you stay well and stafe

Hello, I would differently see your doctor for a catch up , some meds do not suit us , I have been on Duloxtene over 5 years now but I am on it for anxiety as well , it works 100per cent for that. They do say it takes a couple of weeks sometimes too settle with new meds x
