Hi Dizzytwo, may I ask you a question? Are all comments made on the forum checked before they are posted by a Moderator, as you may have seen, I’ve upset Threewisemonkeys today, which I didn’t mean too do, I just had a difference of opinion, now she has become Hidden, and I feel a little sad that I may have caused her to leave the Forum. I asked whether Posts are checked before they are posted on the Forum, as people could quite easily end in dispute, over misunderstandings.

Hi, no comments are not moderated prior to posting.

Written word can sometimes come across different to how we mean it, and also when we are in pain and fatigued, we can be more sensitive to what we read/understand

This is why we always ask that people report any issues to admin, to allow us to sort out any issues/misunderstandings. Try not to be too hard on yourself.

Hi Tim61, sorry I am just checking my mail. I see Hazel has already replied to you. The thing is. Even if we had the time or the staff to check every single post of which there is far too many. How would we know how others would react to someone else's reply? I checked you reply and while the person in question may have found it upsetting I personally saw nothing wrong. I am also guessing other admin checked and found it broke no rules. That's why its not been removed.

Than-you for your reply Dizzytwo, I guested that you could not check every post, as that would be a near on impossible task, even if you had more Moderators. It’s good to know that you do remove in appropriate posts. At least I’ve learnt today to be more tactful, than I was this morning, realising I was blunt and unfeeling about another person’s feelings the way I replied to the post. Thank-you again, and it’s lovely to have a forum where people can interact socially and talk about their different health needs . Tim .

Honestly don't kill yourself over it. We are all sick and on different combinations of meds and sometimes sensitive and/or grumpy at times, and with good reason! That's why we need tolerance both ways. I have a general rule which I try not to break, which is 'do not post to any of the boards I'm on late at night, or early hours of the morning'😄 Insomnia and pain is a lethal combination to inadvertently (or purposefully, lets face it) upset someone. I've posted stuff at night that I've had to apologise for in the morning. So now I have the rule.

I hope the person comes back, but it has happened to me where I was in a discussion where the person went hidden, though I wasn't the main person they felt offended by and I'm afraid I don't understand the need to withdraw from any of the boards in this way. You can simply stop all notifications and not choose to come back if you want, but presumably you joined for information and to share tips with others about your illness and I don't how leaving achieves that. Also leaving the entire board after ONE member in how many? 65,942 annoys you doesn't make sense.
