some will tell you about certain mattresses.I couldn’t buy another as I already have the last I bought standing up in my spare bedroom I only used for 2 weeks. That cost a lot .I know how you feel as lack of sleep is not good.If there is a slight crease I can’t get off to sleep and a crumb is like a brick underneath. My main problem is the heat.As soon as it gets hot I have to jiggle along to find a cold spot.Good job my husband sleeps sound.

Hi I only manage 4 to 5 hours sleep on a good night. I have a weighted blanket which really helps me, I feel as though I'm being swaddled, it has helped me a lot, before I had it my sleep was practically non existent. Lavender pillow spray is good for helping you relax.

Hi! I really feel for you - a bad sleep can make everything so much worse.

When my sleep quality recently declined due to pain, cramps, restless legs etc I went to my GP. I was already on various painkillers and supplements and didn’t want to mess with those particularly.

So I’m currently trialling amitriptyline, just a small dose early in the evening (7pm ish), and it has made a huge difference for me so I think I will continue.

I would use lavender pillow spray if my partner could tolerate it, as I have found it effective in the past.

Also a gentle stretching of everything in turn before I hop into bed seems to prevent some of the pains (or at least show me what hurts before I get into bed, so I can rub ibuprofen gel or similar on the worst affected areas!)

Good luck, hope you can achieve a peaceful, restful bedtime!

Magnesium spray is always worth trying, works really well for some of us and does nowt for others. I find it really good for muscles all over from neck to toes! Great for cramps & restless legs too 😊

Sorry for asking on your thread Suncatcher!

Yes, lots of people get good relief from Magnesium salts/Epsom salts in the bath particularly at night. I'm starting to struggle a little getting out so rarely have one now, fear of being stuck! Have this scenario of fire brigade rescue playing in my head so mostly showers for me 😁

I do tend too get a supply especially when on promotion or a visit too TK,, Boots, any big Supermarkets, as I bath every night I.do miss an occasional night putting Epsom’s in as I found can make your skin abit dry. but in general I think helpful for me ,nowadays they do some amazing smells tooxx

Hi Suncatcher71

I find that a V shaped pillow helps.

I still struggle to get a decent nights sleep but the V shaped pillow has definitely improved on the amount o get now. Anything is worth a try.

Hi, I fully understand what you're saying. I will be following this post as I too could do with some tips! I hope you find something which helps. I couldn't survive without a wheat sac ! 😂

Hi Suncatcher71,

I have fibromyalgia too and I couldn’t get comfortable so I bought a body pillow off Amazon, it’s like a horseshoe effect with the round part that goes where your pillow would be then I place a pillow over it, I turn in each side but when I do I put the leg parts between my knees which helps take the pressure off my spine and helps with restless legs too, hope this helps 🤗

Hello. I can empathise the sleep situation 🙁I am currently having trouble keeping my mask on (I have sleep apnea) but without that getting a few goods hours is beneficial so I do tend too get up and make a milky hot chocolate on nights I just cannot go off, I have a cream with lavender in , a facial mist spray (lavender ) I found company online who have brilliant reviews and use products with the NHS patients , been ordering with them for awhile now they are based in Somerset ,they do have a shop but I live in Suffolk. Worth a try (Herbs on the hill) xx
