visual snow and fibromyalgia

does anyone have strange vision. I see eye floaters all day and when I close my eyes but this has also developed into what I can only describe as black and white static vision. I’ve have issues with my eyelids not automatically opening too. Migraines are most likely linked but not the reason. It’s bizarre

Hi Looby, when did you last get your eyes check with an optician? If not recently then may I suggest you make an appointment. Floaters moving or static are horrible. But I do think you need to talk with an optician xx

Hi Looby,I agree with Dizzytwo. If you haven't already seen an optician I would do so asap.

I am reviewed regularly by my optician as my retinas are stretched really thin in both eyes. I have been advised by several eye consultants & opticians that if I develop large/a large number of black floaters, flashing lights (that aren't following a usual migraine pattern) or a change to my vision I need to be seen asap at the hospital Eye Clinic as I my be developing detached retinas. This happened to my Mum, after she fell & hit her head, she needed emergency surgery to both eyes to put the retinas back in position. I'm not trying to scare you as it may not be an issue but, if you haven't already had them checked, I would do so asap. For your own peace of mind as much as anything else.

As others have said, best see an Optician. I’ve fairly recently had a cataract operation and this has stopped all the odd images I was seeing.

I have been told recently I have cataract in both eyes , my distance vision I see a lot , a shape above say a sign or a car that is say 10% of the object but transparent, did you have this?

Not that, but when looking at the flooring in the bathroom the pattern would move. And in the bedroom at night different dark shapes would be going round the room. The door of the bedroom looked as though it was opening further. Weird. Don’t have it since the cataract operation. Only needed one eye doing for the time being.

Hi, yes I get that as well, I asked my optician about it before and she said it wasn’t anything that was affecting my eyes. It’s really annoying. I do have dry eyes though and she recommended a daily eye drop which does help it a bit but it never completely goes. Mine also worse if I haven’t slept very well.
