Hi Dawn, yes I did and it made me feel really ill and throw up! So not for me. Would be interested if anyone else has tried it. Let me know if you do. X

Thank you for your reply.Been on it 1 week tomorrow. 1st day I was spaced out but relaxed and low on pain. Going to persevere as I am hoping it will help the chronic migraines too🤞

It's rubbish isn't it? One thing seems to set everything else off 🙄Hope you find your answer.

I've just been submerged in ice cold water then doing breathing exercises, look like a right nut 😂

Hi - I don't have fibro, rather the hypermobile type of Ehlers-Danlo Syndrome, which shows some similarities with fibro as far as pain & needing to pace goes. My son also has this, but has primarily used 5-HTP to reduce anxiety. I now also use it on occasion for the same.

I believe you are supposed to start on a low dosage as it can cause nausea & other digestive upsets, but, as with everything it's always a case of trial & error to find what may help each individual. Hope it helps with your issues.

hi Rainbowangel I have used 5HTP for a couple of years now, I take duloxetin 60mg which does work, but if I start getting anxiety if I’m in a flare up I take 5HTP as well , I start with 1 tablet for a few days then up it to 2 , I’ve recently been diagnosed with spondylolisthesis which is extremely painful and I found that they definitely helped me mood wise , hope you have good results with them , shop around as prices really vary

Hi I've always been interested in trying it, do you know if it's safe to take with duloxetine and amitriptyline or are you not on anything else? I hope it helps! X

Yes! I’ve taken it at bedtime for years! I take two magnesium malate capsules and one 100mg (extra strength) 5HTP capsules. Really helps me get to sleep. I’ve tried other sleep aids, zopiclone, but that didn’t agree with me. I preferred to use a natural product. I guess you just need to try it to find out! All the best to you 😊
