hi guys . I’ve had a flare up 11 days now (fibro) .. so bad that I’ve caught a viral infection ..

I’ve lost 5lbs in weight in this short space of time .

I struggle to lose any weight at all .

and I’m still ill right now .

extended family are always rolling their eyes when I say I’m I’ll as I’m very verbal when I am I’ll .

I hate the fact that I’m looked at as a liar ..

p.s I look horrendous!!!

sometimes I want to disappear and take a break from the world !

does anyone have or have had any of my symptoms?? Or feel the way I do ??

I don’t deal with any stress very well at all .

Hello, I am sorry to hear you are not feeling very good at the moment. It go's without saying if you don't feel very well and are not eating you will lose weight. Please try not to worry. Losing 5lb in 11 days is not a great deal to lose under such circumstances. It will more than likely to be a water loss. I would suggest you make sure you keep your fluid uptake high until you feel more like eating.

If you continue to feel ill and keep losing weight may I suggest you speak with you GP and let them know what is happening. I do hope your flare up get's easier and you feel better soon xx

Hello , good advice from Dizzytwo, I think these dam virals keep hanging around, I seem since the beginning of the year too pick up then crash down, hard too tell what’s what if you cannot get in your local surgery too be seen . People should be more understanding when they see a family member strugggling(differently not always the case for sure ☹️)roll on she. The heating goes off , the windows can be opened and we can just sit outside . Yes differently check in if you feel your not improving or more weight lose xx

I had to call 111 yesterday as I’m still so unwell and I was told on top of a flare up I’m run down , however a flare up is rundown isn’t it ??

They told me it could take weeks to feel better , I’ve never had a flare up this long and it’s so painful .all day yesterday I had different family members question me saying “ I thought u felt better’?? I honestly feel like screaming from frustration!!!

People just don’t understand!!!

Hi I have got a viral infection too and body just does not want to cooperate with me. I know how you feel its rubbish. I have only been diagnosed a few months ago. It is not nice and I really feel for you, especially as you have family that are not supportive. 😢

Trouble is that the face we show the world doesn't reflect how FM affects us. Perhaps your extended family should come and see you when you "look awful". Hope you're better soon.
