how long does it take to hear back from DWP when you completed pip form online do they call you back or do they just send email I’ve sent all evidence and doctors names and address . So is it likely they will call or even send me to a f2f I’m not sure what happens

I'm not sure if there will be a difference after completing an online form rather than a paper one. For the latter it can take months before getting an assessment, & I've not read that an online form may be any quicker.

If you've provided contact details, you may very well receive a standard text to say they've received your info, & you don't need to contact the DWP, nor do anything.

Expect to have an assessment, which will likely be by phone as these are continuing. Rather than a f2f, a video call would be more likely, but by phone is still the more usual.

hi I wouldn’t hold you breath in getting a quick response from them. You will probably receive a text saying they have all the information they require.

I sent my review in July 21 and still waiting for that.

Just received a letter the other day stating they have extended my pip until October 23 whilst it is in review. They are so far behind with claims and reviews.

Good luck with your claim.

Hi there I sent my pip form back in Sept 2021 ive got over the phone assessment next Thursday, i also sent over 70 pieces of evidence but ive got a few health issues , others I know waited a few weeks ,remember its on you're symptoms not so much on illnesses, just wish they would do it differently, like if u have evidence it should be enough ive got a video call which ive always had face too face , good luck xxxx

I did an online form application on 12th October and had a text on 20th December saying they had awarded me PIP. I had a telephone assessment the end of November. So it was quite quick in my experience, although I know that’s not everyone’s experience.

It really depends on where you are and which desk your application arrives on unfortunately. Different areas have different assessors. Took 18 months from application to award for my friend but that was years ago. From what I have heard they are giving priority to new applications rather than reviews.

I applied for pip in October and I had a phone call in December they said I would have to wait a further 4 to 8 weeks to hear that will be by post. It does all get back dated.

Hiya Sheri,

My reply is as long as they want lol! They take months sometimes to get back to u n lately they seem to like texting me instead of letters. They might just send u an appointment letter for a face to face interview but my last assessment was done on the telephone which I personally liked much better. It seems councils are just as bad in August I applied for a Blue Badge online n still haven't received it! The person living in my last property has been looking out for it. I decided to apply for one even though I can't drive it allows my voluntary driver to park in disabled parking spaces 😊🤗
