I have to say No. That sounds more like anxiety IMO

I get dizzy, so dizzy I have to stop, often after standing up, but no palpitations. Perhaps talk to your GP.

Have you have your blood pressure checked...sitting and standing? Postural hypotension can sometimes causes this

in reply to Merrrm

Yes, bloods have been checked regularly. They are fine. First time it happened was getting out of the pool and could not walk straight. Sometimes it is so bad I my knees buckle and buckle but it lasts perhaps half a minute or so.

I'm glad low BP is something you can cross off the list. Water temperature?

in reply to Merrrm

But it happens mostly when I stand up, not just when I get out of water. And it comes in phases and goes. It's not constantly there. Perhaps I should start documenting it. After the initial blood tests, I put it down to FM and just became careful. But Perhaps I should have another look.

the dizziness might be caused by a build up of crystals in the inner ear. It might be worth looking up the Epley manoeuvre. You can do it yourself. Try it a couple of times and see if it helps. If it doesn't, it hasn't cost you anything. If you lie on a bed to do the manoeuvre just don't fall off.

Thank you, Eleanor, I'll try it out.

Hi Ellie, am constantly bothered with dizziness. It's affecting me so much I spend most of my time on my bed. Very occasionally I get a day where its not there , taking tablets for menieres .

Hope you manage to get sorted. Awful for you. Xxx.

I had all the heart checks moniters etc, and the flutters, heart waking me in the night and so on, was all perfectly normal, (For a fibro🤭) I have days on end when I feel it races like crazy. I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me except how it wakes me multiple times in the night. I used to wonder if I'd heard something to wake me? And that was why my heart raced. Was I worried? I heard nothing and went back to sleep. I don't think it is worry just something that happens.

Of course, as you have now brought it up, you should go get it checked out. Maybe consider your levels of stress? For sure the Dr will ask. It's a palava getting checked but once it's done, you can add it to the list of bits of you that are fibro weird but tickedy-boo!

Don't shoot the messenger but I have heard, heart flutters are a means your spirit guides use to get your attention? If that is your thing you could try meditating more? Or try Googling how to get in touch? It's likely no Nuttier than being a Fibro? What do I know?

I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AF) prior to Fibro diagnosis. And when it happens, I get a highly erratic pulse rate/heart rhythm, like palpitations, exhaustion, dizziness, pains etc - I just need to sit . I read somewhere there is a link between the two (not sure which comes first) I would want to make sure there is no af or other heart rythym/rate abnormalities rather than just put it down to fibro. Af is faulty electrics in the atria of the heart (upper) x
