Hello everyone

I Won.

Just to let you others know about your Pip Tribunal, we all know how draining and hard claiming this benefit is, but through determination you can succeed. After the rigmarole of being turned down with 6 points, I was awarded 10 points by the court, so I got Standard rate of the personal section.

Surprise call from DWP as i didn't know my Tribunal had gone ahead and received all monies owed from June 21.

So don't give up and good luck to all facing the difficult task this is.

Love and Light

Thank you. The Money came in handy, but I was more delighted that I won against these so called assessors that think they know how you feel, obviously not!Take care x

Good news. Do you get PIP as an additional extra alongside paid work?

Hi, no unfortunately I had to give up work last year through the pain etc and struggled with just husbands wages.

Hey, oh sorry to hear that. I am glad you sorted things out. All the best to you.

You can get a % of pip if you work part time as PIP depends on how your condition effects you . If you are able to work then it might only be a small percentage you get awarded.

Pip is varied depending on your condition and scores . You can get lower rates or higher rates , as I said depending on how your condition affects you.

That’s fabulous news, the hard soul destroying/flare up inducing work has paid off at last! I’m just at MRN stage now & I am a stubborn old lass! I’m going all the way to Tribunal with it if I have to! Even if it a very slow process & if it means my health suffers along the way/it’s shot anyway!

While I am pleased for you and that you have also been paid back payment. things to me AND THIS IS MY OPIN, don't ring true. 1. that you did not even know your tribunal went ahead? 2. That you were contacted "after" the decision was made. 3. I assume that in contacting you with the "good news" that they gave a statement of reason for the change of heart? One, from PIP's explaining to the court and TWO, from the Tribunal explaining the reason for judges decision? If there was a mistake on the "report" from the assessors then you need an explanation of what was wrong with the original report and a new certificate of entitlement as if you supplied new evidence about the report or that you showed medical evidence was not used in the original report, the decision maker cannot use that report as it was wrong and has to go with what you have sent in. This is where the judges report comes in, as they have had a meeting without you and decided what to pay without you being present. I would ask for the justified report from the assessor used to assess you the first time and a copy of the new assessment that changed the decision and who changed it? But other wise at least they changed something for you and if you are happy with that so am I.

HiI did tell them at the beginning that I didn't want to attend the tribunal and to be done by post, but no I didn't know it had gone ahead until I got the call from Dwp. The tribunal letter stated that I had limited abilities and the Dwp decision has been overturned. I am happy with it all and thank the tribunal for overturning there decision, as they actually seen the difficulty I was in.

That's great, only sometimes they have a habit of offering a lower amount and because the claimant has been on little or no money will except anything on offer. Did the new certificate have an end date or when you will be assessed again? This is for your benefit.

Great news. Is that 2023/24 or longer? At least you can now concentrate on getting you fixed and well as best you can. When applying for benefits help, it can be life consuming, every thing takes a back burner, so to speak, and some times just adds to the stress. Both take care.
