Hi everyone. I'm new to all this, I had Covid in February and GP thinks it has triggered Fibro. I work full time (teacher ) but am struggling. Can anyone give any ideas?

Fibro and work
Hiya 👋🏼Sorry to hear that and I hope it gets easier for you soon. What symptoms is it you’re struggling with?
Fatigue mostly
And grinding hip pain, can get rid of it standing, sitting or lying down
Have you spoken to your GP about any medication that might help? I take medication that helps to ease my hip/back pain which then makes it easier for me to stretch which helps as well. I’ve also recently purchased an acupressure mat but as I’ve not had it long I can’t say if it makes a long term difference but so far it has helped! Fatigue is one I’m still struggling with myself, I also work full time and find it frustrating that once I’m home I don’t have energy to do anything else. I do try to stick to a set bedtime and morning routine as I find a change in this can make me worse. Also, another thing I’m trying at the moment is to eat more high energy foods with the hope this might make an impact.
Since having fibromyalgia I’ve come to understand it’s a lot of trial and error looking for the things that work for you x
You've hit the nail on the head there. It's work and nothing else. I do have acupuncture and that helps, although it's expensive. It's so hard to even get someone to answer the phone at the GP that I have given up, but going to have to start trying again. Thank you for your support x
Hi Dee I also find the fatigue the hardest thing to cope with! When mine hits I literally can't function and have to have a sleep. Unfortunately there no pill out there that we can take for this and I am learning to accept that this is the way it is now and I have to be kind to myself and listen to my body. I take my hat off to you for still powering on and working 💪 take care x
Work, home,work,home 😞🥲🥰
So sorry to hear you’re struggling and being a teacher to must make it hard
