Hi Ellie
A miniture schanzer is a perfect dog, Fantastic in every way xx
There is a service dogs charity and grips I believe. Maybe reach out to them
There used to be an association for owner trained dogs - my friend was involved in it, as she trained her own assistance dogs. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the organisation, and I'm not in contact with my friend
Found them on Facebook facebook.com/56563597025197...
Hi Ellie, how lovely. I would say if you are starting with a puppy meet both parents.
With all the comments published on this post I hope you get what you want.
I’m desperate for a small poppy as companion but I struggle to take care of him or her plus I have been told they are expensive financially to maintain xx
Hi I have to say the most loyal loving easily trainable dog is a staffie they have a bad reputation as idiots get them and train them to be aggressive which you can do with any dog really but years ago they were known as the nanny dog as they were so good with children and they love to be with you and learn and are very quick learners even ones that are little older are still retrainable if you are consistent in your methods.I was ultimately wary of the breed because of the bad press the dogs have had but then my son got 1 and I trained it and was really shocked at how good they can be and how low maintenance they are then I started researching the breed and found out just what a bad deal they had got ! A lot like the bad deal fibro sufferers get so plz think long and hard before you choose your dog and make sure you don't get ripped off as the prices now a days are through the roof maybe look at local rehoming centers as well as preloved and other such sites I wish you well in your search and please let us know how you get on and which breed you get and how the training progresses I would be very intrested to know how you manage as I do have a service dog and the help is invaluable to my everyday life so good luck and keep us updated please
There are some good Service Dog organisations around the UK, and I believe that in order to get your dog accredited you may have to work with one of them. Might even open up job opportunities for you.
Cheers, Midori
