Depending on how this is impacting your heath, I would suggest you get in touch with Occupational health for their advice.
A discussion with your employer about 'Reasonable adjustments' may also be helpful. Please see: acas.org.uk/reasonable-adju...
I agree with CM1EDSUK. You could also try talking to HR about the situation. Be careful though, if you've not been with them for longer than two years, they can get rid of you without even giving you a reason.
I've had a terrible time with work places, I've been sacked from so many jobs because they don't understand the fibro. So I understand the frustration and anger.
Try occupational health service. If you have a HR dept at your workplace, they should be able to help you. Or citizens advice help, they will give you a few different places that will be able to help.
You might find our employment booklet useful at fmauk.org/publications
Might using different language help? For example, could you talk about it as being comparable to a disease he may be aware of (I use arthritis as it has similar mobility issues and pain profiles for me). It's just so many people don't understand fibro that they need something they can relate to as an example. I would try to focus on the what you can do as opposed to the what you can't. So, for example, i can do customer service, working on tills, stocking lower shelves (?) but need to restrict upper shelf work, stockroom work etc.
Very good advice here. aometimes a doctors paper may help. best wishes.
