Hi everyone hope your all having a good day xx
My question is … I posted my pip assessment form 22/2/22 , on average how long did you have to wait before you had a reply to yours, I’m beginning to think mine got lost in the post. Tia x

Hi, have you given them a call to check out if they have your paper work? If not I would ring them and ask for an update x

Could be up to 14 weeks from when I got my pip 4 years ago
I sent mine on 28th august 2021. I got a text on 2 Sept 2021 to say they had received it. I got another text yesterday saying that they still had my form, they were extending my award until August 14th and will be in touch soon.
Hi. My forms had to be back by 1st Nov 21 which they were. I had my assessment on 29th March so 5 months later. Still waiting on a decision which they said would be 8 weeks from assessment. It’s such a long drawn out process.
I am afraid that that is how it is now, especially since some F 2 F interviews are starting up again.
I would certainly ring them and check that they have it. If you haven't a copy of the report you could ask for one so that when the decision is made they can come together. You just need to ask them can you show me what was used to assess me including reports and letters so that I can check you had all the information prior to the Assessment report.
This is the same as asking for a FOI request it should also state that when they say they used the HP or HCP report supplied that they stipulate which one. ) since yours will be on headed paper and theirs's, from the assessor is not. Ask for them to actually state who's report? The reason I state this is because the latest update from Capita when asking whether the assessment report is a LEGAL DOCUMENT OR NOT, ( since I am further down the line than most) The statement says" The assessor is hired by the DWP for assessment purposes since the Decision Maker has no Medical Background, and may not readily understand the content of the Prescription list or some of the "jargon" used by Professional medical registered people.
All assessors are medical Practitioners on the day of the assessment and are registered on the appropriate medical register. This has now changed to assessors reports are only a RECOMENDATION TO THE DECISION MAKER this is why we do not have to show there Medical expertise as the report is meant for the Decision Maker ONLY but you can have a copy on request BY ASKING THEM.
This means its useless. WHY ARE YOU HAVING AN ASSESSMENT, because its an ACCESS TO BENEFIT.
A friend of mine was due her re-assessment a while ago, they sent out the forms early giving a ridiculously short return window. Since harassing her for return, it has now been OVER A YEAR since she returned her forms. On ringing up (and queuing for hours to get through), apparently her form is "still in the pile" and has been sent through to the medical assessor with absolutely no idea of when anything else might happen. They have now extended her existing award to cover the delay but are vastly behind due to both being short staffed and a massive increase in new applicants as a result of Covid. They are however, prioritising new applicants as existing ones do at least have some money coming in, even if they need re-assessing due to deterioration. I'm currently waiting for my reassessment to be processed but has only been 5 months so far. "Normal" processing times have gone completely out the window but I hope you get somewhere soon.
I posted mine in December and still haven't heard anything about my renewal or owt. I have been assured they have received my renewal forms and my PIP will still be paid until they actually review it, so I aint worried I'll go without until then.
