Hi, unfortunately we cannot say if the cause of your breathlessness is something to worry about. Try to keep as calm as possible, slow breaths and keep trying 111

While you're waiting for 111 praps try these (or similar) acupressure points, they work brilliantly for me after only slight exertion (but if you still feel like you do need more oxygen keep taking deep breaths all the same!): youtube.com/watch?v=ai7fRWn...

If these don't work there are similar videos with other acupressure points for shortness of breath which might work.

Hi ChocNana 🌿🌸🦋

I’m sorry you’re suffering.

There are many causes of shortness of breath.

I agree with Ajay in that a visit to A & E to diagnose the problem.

Best wishes for a good outcome.

Hi I get very breathless too just getting up from a sitting position gives me so much pain and leaves me breathless. I have asthma and bronchectasis along with a faulty heart circuit. If it’s worrying you I would see my doctor and get it checked.

Dear ChocNana. If you haven't managed to get any treatment or help yet since your post and still feel breathless, you should certainly go to A & E and get someone to drive you there or even straight to your Doctor's Surgery if still open. - When and if you have finally got the help you need and it is all resolved, get yourself a PULSE OXIMETER. It's finger size) from Amazon unless Boots or similar chemist has them (about a tenner). That will measure the oxygen in your blood. It will give you instructions about what you need to do if your oxygen level which should be around 98, is getting too low. - Being elderly, and if living alone, it might be empowering and more calming and re-assuring for you also to have a personal alarm package to alert whoever it is monitors it if you are in some distress. Hope the problem is resolved now anyway and you feel better. J.

So if it's "fibro" after all: (exercise &) acupressure? Did you try them by any chance?

Ah, OK. As it says the acupressure is only 30 seconds. If the 3 minute video is too long just watch the second minute...
