An upbeat note I went to a store we have here in Devon uk and called pavers and now have three pairs of the own brand shoes I took my time over choosing and I have had one pair on all day so comfy I used to wear sketchers but was feed up of trainer style shoes now I have three pairs of nice shoes that looks more feminine so have a fresh look at foot wear no aching legs or feet just a real pleasant day working in my garden 🪴

I love Pavers shoes, so comfortable 👍

We’ve got a Pavers discount store near by which is really good

I'm also a fan. When fibro first flared it affected my feet badly and I could hardly walk. My husband had to go to z Town we never usually went o and took me just to get me out of the house. I saw a large shoe shop and bought a pair of red boots and a pair of shoes that had a memory foam 8nsole and a strap over. For thr first time jn months I was able to walk without hobbling and they were Pavers. 10 years later and I am still wearing both. Sometimes they have really good sales on their website.x

Can you describe what the pain of Fibro is like in your foot please . I have pain in my feet but not sure if it’s Fibro or not ?

Mine is often a muscular ache or burning. Other times I can just be walking along, no pain and then I have horrible knifing like pains shooting through my foot. It literally stops me in my tracks and often makes me stumble when it eases those areas feel tender.x

That’s really interesting as I have a burning pain and like you I can knifelike pain suddenly come on. Also in the morning before getting out of bed I get a sharp pain at side of foot below the ankle .

I only bump into these shops when on holiday and they are usually at an outlet so my size is very limited with choice .I only recall being lucky and finding a pair many years ago. They are a lot pricier than others but so comfy.I need to try that size on when I find them so cannot order..Some day…

Hi there lake house,

I could not agree more with you on the pavers front, pavers is a shop that I have walked past many a time all them years ago as my aunt used to use it alot for her mother so silly me associated it with being not for the younger generation, more fool me as its been a god send to me suffering with fybro, idiopathic peripheral neuropathy and also MGUS, I bought a stunning wee pair of leather lace up shoes, the leather is Spanish and its as soft as the leather you would associated with baby shoes, the laces are brought fitted which helps with the swelling in my feet and ankles and more importantly the look is very modern, smart but casual.

I really believe I could wear them anything from anything from a wee dress in the garden, to a skirt to jeans and a hoodie, unfortunately I'm only at the jeans stage as all the weight gain etc, I'm a shell of the girl I used to be, have lost nearly all my confidence and I don't really wear anything except different types of jeans now. But anyway that aside Pavers is without a doubt a life saver, I bought a white pair and like you say they were a dream come true that I nipped online and bought a baby pink and also a nave blue pair too, they are £39.99 each and I know it's a bit pricey if for like most of us on here we have all lost an income or maybe on ssp pay, but it really really is money we'll spent and might be the difference of keeping a bit of your independence and getting you out the house in total comfort.

Please try them, you will not be disappointed.

All my love LC. Xx

Yes I was worried about price but as I only buy shoes when I have done the ones I have to death then once a year is not bad going when family give me presents it’s now in the form off money I save it for things like shoes or clothes I am to always in jeans but want to move myself in to other things like skirts and thought start at the end and work up my problem is can’t stand the feeling of tights nylon my legs aren’t bad but don’t like them getting cold lol but need to adjust the belly well different story I put a dress on I look pregnant no longer a waste line there it has to go thinking hola hooping it a way lol but at least I have made a start walking with better posture so more walking yayyy

Ok yesterday was good when round the supper market and a this pair was taking it whirl around completely forgot I was waring new shoes theses pair are more on the stiffer side of leather so though I would need time walking them in. Got home and did notice a little problem on the top of my foot just above the big toe but my bone sticks out there just a little so was expecting something but I was saw for about half hour this went off after changing socks so think next I need to get new socks some gone a bit tight but for the leg’s they are happy hopefully this is going to be a way of life good shoes good legs and hips had bit of discomfort in my back when I got up today but it’s gone off now and that’s without taking anything for it just some stretching. The hole idea is me taking the time to listen to my body as after thinking about it I know me best and only me can helped me in a bespoke manner after all this thinking my next fun target is getting to grips with the world of bras lol straps are a big problem and so is tightening of the elastic as the day goes on this I think is going to be the hardest thing I thought shoes would be shame paver’s don’t do bras 😂😂😂

I've heard Pavers are really good. Another brand, which I absolutely love is Heavenly Feet. Available from larger Shoe Zone shops. Super comfy and really stylish as well. My 26yr old daughter thinks they're really nice and couldn't believe they were pure comfort, until she borrowed them! 😅

You can buy Pavers online or through a catalogue - you don't have to go to the shop! I bought some boots some time ago - they have soft, padded soles and are really comfortable!
