Do any of you benefit from some form of morphine patch ?iv been advised that this may improve the pain in my legs. I was also diagnosed with restless legs syndrome too shortly after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I’m new to this group too. Been suffering for 2 years and I seem to be on a downward spiral. Pain everywhere! I’m 34 and have 4 young children. Thank you

Hello , and 1st of all welcome, I am sure you will find the forum here very helpful, we have members around your age with young families so hope you get too chat, it must be very hard being in pain with four young children, I am currently seeing my daughter who is the same age as you struggling with painful fibro, she also sufferes with endometriosis, she works 3 full days and currently is studying to become a teacher, we try and back her as much as we can even some school runs, have you any family that give you sometime out ? Breaking your routine for a rest, soak in the bath , time out for you as pacing with family and general day to day life must be hard at times. I’ve never tried a hormone patch but hopefully some members who have will come on and talk about their own personal experiences xx

thank you. hiya to answer your question,i dont have any help apart from my partner who does all the hard parts. but no break. i wish. and maybe that might be a problem as everyone needs a rest, i do enjoy being a mam but its hard. the hardest thing iv ever had to do. but they keep me going too.i punish myself alot as im not able to do the things i want.it restricts alotof my life and think that life can be unfair sometimes. my sister aslo passed away to ms she was 37 and has 3 children. its broken me. i live in liverpool but my family are from cumbria. its hard to get to see them. do you think our mental state can make fibro worse? anxiety through the roof. xx

Sorry to read that, so very sad for you all, just my personal opinion but being anxious, over worried about something can make me feel more out of sorts with my fibro, have you a good friend to talk too around the same age ? I do have a great friend absolutely the best , I am 60 but still 40 in my head lol, I didn’t have fibro when my children were little so I’ve so much empathy for you, I am from Ipswich in Suffolk but live on the outskirts and love it here on the East coast I am yet to go to Liverpool ,my friends have been to the Cavern and had a great time, my sisters era was the Beatles but I love them , it was passed on . My 2 little grandboys 5 and 7 kept my spirits up little tinkers xx

I have had a morphine patch for approx 6 years and pregablin. These were prescribed for chronic back issues cause by 4 discs at the bottom of my spine being practcaly non exsistant as they have crumbled away and one in my neck thats bulging . They both help with that as i couldn't walk at all at times amongst other things. However, I've also got fybromyralgia and resently been diagnosed with costochondritis the morphine or pregablin doesnt stop the pain in my joins ribs or legs, i sometimes take bacolfen that helps a bit, i use cbd cream on my legs and have cushions behind my knees , hot water bottles round my ribs .lately, i have had so much pain its just are made me cry which is something i rarely do but pain, lack of sleep and being to ill to go to work have all added to it.. one thing i don't know is if ot would be worse without them,?, i know my back would be.

Sorry I'm not much help but i can say it dies help my pain but not sure if its the pain from fybro or not

Good luck

Hiya, is bacolfen OTC or on prescription, I’ve never heard of it. Is the cbd cream helping your legs. I’m going for an epidural in a few weeks for my leg pain. I do hope it’s a success as I’m at the end of my tether. Take care and have a happy and healthy new year everyone. X

I'm sorry you're struggling being so young 😔 I've tried patches but didn't find they helped and had a bad reaction to them now on 20mg morphine which is taking the edge of the pain hope you find something to help you xx
