Deep Knee Aches

LongSufferingNurse profile image

I've bin on Sick-Leave from Work (Nurse in Hospital) this last week. Today was my first day back and my Knees (mainly the left one) is killing me. Its like a deep dull constant ache that I can't get rid of. I've tried pain medikation, hot- / coldpacks but nothing seems to be working!

Does anyone have any experience / Tipps dealing with it?

Thanks in Advance

Do you have arch support in your shoes? I find them helpful to stand comfortably for longer periods of time.

Have you had an X-ray ? I do not work now but my cartilage is nearly non existent/arthritis has set in , I wear a pad that stretches below the knee and above really supportive, I use ibuprofen gel, warm baths, but resting it after tea as much as I can until morning is enough to start the next day. It’s a horrid pain I know and of course standing a lot dosent help so you have my empathy, I am on my feet a lot and I’m just glad to get in the bath . Xx
