Does fibromyalgia cause your tendons to pain?
Sorry to hear that you are suffering so much, I don't get the swelling and pain in my tendons, however I used to feel very nauseous in the mornings, and put it down to my meds, now I make sure that I have a substantial breakfast before taking any medication and I don't get the sickness very often now. The constipation could again be down to your meds, do you take any Codeine, as that can make you very constipated, I have a prescription from my doctor for Laxido powders which really do help.
I hope you manage to get some relief from you pain soon. xx Gentle hugs xx
Hi, no I can't say I get the tendon pain and swelling due to fibro. IBS is a nightmare. I have suffered with it all my life. Constipation is also part of IBS. It can go from not been able to open the bowel to been doubled up and having very loose bowel movements.

Hi Suffering21, I don't know if they're swollen but I do know they get really 'tight' and painful all the time. Got to keep stretching & moving to ease them off. Magnesium tablets & spray helps me, particularly my legs. I get the blurry vision too, checked at opticians and nothing wrong? Think it's quite common though 🤷
Stiffness is common with Fibro, but I've not heard of swelling in tendons. Blurry vision, yes, was diagnosed with IBS, but it is not, it is Oesphageal reflux in me, caused by a hernia where my gall bladder was removed. Unexplained bruising, all the time! My legs also swell, but that is down to a circulation problem.
I get a lot of pain in my tendons, particularly around my knees, ankles and wrists. During a flare I can’t bear them to be knocked, or even touched. I get horrendously constipated too and medication makes this worse. The constipation, in turn, makes me feel nauseous and I get reflux. All I can suggest is alternate between moving and rest. I need to pace myself but if I’m immobile too long I seize up. I’m also taking Laxido prescribed by the GP following a long period of constipation which has caused impaction. I’m still waiting for it to work but fingers crossed it does soon!!
Fibro has so many varied symptoms that sometimes I think I’m going nuts or am a hypochondriac but I’m learning to accept it and try to just go with it rather than fighting it. I understand that is much easier said than done and I have been in dark places before getting where I am now.
Take care, listen to your body, rest when you need to, and be kind to yourself. X
Thanks so much for the advise. I have been in an awful state but its absolutely consoling to hear that I've got so much support and so many of you are in the same situation as me and are pleased to be offering such wonderful advise thank you all and hope you all out there are having a good day and on the road to a pain free life . Bless you all x
Hi. I have been told I have fibro. But I am not sure. If I do have it most of my fibro pain is in my tendons. They are very tight and extremely painful. My muscles are also very tight and filled with knots. The sports physio I was seeing thought he could improve it all but after 3 months of treatment he said he would have to give up.
