One is an antidepressant and the other is a pain medication.

Hi, if the doctor said it’s ok, then it’s ok. Their computer systems flag up things like that these days.

Usually if a doctor says it is ok it is generally fine. You can always ask another doctor or your local chemist who would also know the do and don'ts with the mixing and matching of drugs. Personally I have been prescribed twice in 25 years drugs that did not sit comfortably with each other. One mix was stopped by the chemist the other was prescribed and ingested and resulted in a big fat face though apparently it could have been worse.

Hi there, if the GP says its fine then I'm sure it is. Also both meds are doing a different job. But if you need a second opinion please call your pharmacist. No one here is medically qualified I'm afraid xx

Hello, when collecting your prescription medications ask the pharmacist are they safe to take all at once three times a day or should I stagger them with a meal time and biscuit ect

Hi there, I am a pharmacist! No interactions are noted with citalopram and morphine so they are fine to take together. Oramorph is generally prescibed at lower doses, so there is nothing to worry about 😊

Just Google both Meds and look at the Contraindications section. That’s all the GP would do or look in his up to date copy of MiMS.

I would suggest to have a word with your Pharmacist, oddly, they know more about the drugs than doctors do, and they are usually less rushed and have a little more time to help.

Cheers, Midori
