Hi all I have so many things wrong with me but I still keep going. I am not any good at spelling the names of things that I have But if you need to know I will have a go. Fibro is one and there is no getting away from it, I have told myself to keep off the hard pain killers, which left me at the time unable to drive. So I only take paracetamol 2 3times a day It doesn't take away the pain but reduces it a good bit so I can get on with life. A Doctor told me years ago to try and keep off tablets unless they are very essential I must say haven't looked back.

I am an Old Age Encyclopedia
Hi Phil, I have had fibro for just over 12 years now, but was only formally diagnosed about 5 years ago, I also have many health problems mainly brought on after 3 surgeries to remove a tumour from my abdomen and spine, my life has never been the same since and I know that the trauma from them is what brought on the Fibro, I wish I had never started taking all the meds I am on, and I have taken myself off many of them only to have to start taking them again, sometimes I wonder if I am just soft and have a low threshold of pain😱I have tried alternative painkillers, like low dose Naltrexone and CBD Oil, and even Cannabis, none of them has helped apart from empty my bank a lot !!!! It is really hard to think of the future god knows what all these meds are doing to my body, but it cannot be good, but I know that I have got worse each year and I am in bed more than out, luckily I have a husband who understands but I am know there are days he probably just wants to run a mile. Anyway nice to hear your story Phil take care
Well ChattyKathy It was nice to hear from you, yes you may have a low threshold of pain we all have to do what we have got to do. It is nice to see that your Husband is supporting you My wife is the same I often feel that I am a burden to her, but we made it for better or worse We are a lot luckier than a lot of people out there thou we don't think so. You take care
Exactly the approach I take, Phil. I use Ibuprofen for everyday, But I do have a few stronger ones when the pain is extreme, which fortunately isn't often,
Cheers, Midori
