Before I click to see what this research is all about, I have one thing to say. I didn’t know support items were meant to measure something. Support items are to support. The wording of the research could be , to measure the effectiveness of the support items. (Ok, I had three things to say)❤️🏄‍♀️

from the study:

"What is the purpose of the study? This study aims to look at how we measure different types of social support. We know that social support in general is important for our health. We also know that there are several different types of social support, such as emotional support and practical support. It is possible that different types of social support are of more or less benefit to our health in general or different aspects of our health in particular. However, at the moment we don't know how best to measure all the different types of social support. Being able to measure each type of support is important because then we will be able to examine which particular types of support are important for improving particular aspects of health. This study will take existing measures of social support and investigate which particular types of social support they measure."

Also as this is an MSc it is more about the student gaining knowledge and expertise in their subject than increasing knowledge in the field.
