My fibromyalgia began with a pain in my left hip, over time the pain spread, right hip, groin, legs, feet, practically everywhere now.

Hi, at the moment only cocodomal, I did start gabapenten but this gave me terrible side effects, sick and dizzy feeling I was going to pass out so I stopped it.

Oh, sorry to hear that. I'd recommend having a chat with your GP about other meds. Pregabalin, for example, is similar to gabapentin but some people find it more effective/have less side effects. You could also ask for a referral to the pain clinic and a physiotherapist xx

Thankyou I am waiting to hear from my doctor and will ask to try the medication you mentioned, I have a zoom call in a couple of weeks from the pain clinic so hopefully get some help. Take care Shelley x

Ten years down the fibromyalgia line I have just been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. Mine started the same way. Rule out AS before the experts put everything down to fibro.

Mine started lower back and legs put it down to siatica the electric pain in arms one day couldn't move neck now its ribs chest pain head everywere even effects my digestive system sleep and skin i feel like im being pricked with needles especially in my heels its not easy and learning to except this monster is hard xxxxx were not alone x
