HQC WHAT IS IT LIKE?

Hello there.

This is my first time posting. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and sjogrens syndrome back in 2017. They wanted to start me on hydroxychloroquine, I declined and decided to go down the holistic route. Started taking cats claw and other herbals. Anyway got it all under control, was great for about 3 and a half years. Then a few months ago, woke up one morning couldn’t get out of bed with the pain. This has continued, tried all what I did last time to no avail. So now I’m thinking well I’m going to have to bite the bullet and start taking this HQC. JUST curious if anyone takes this now? Has it helped? What are the side effects like? If any. Thanks in advance

not aware of hydroxychloroquine being used regularly with fibro if at all. I know low dose methotrexate (another DMARD) was used in trials but typically as fibro does not present with inflammation then DMARDs are not applicable.

Agree with Des that this med is not typically used for fibro. As you also have Sjogren’s Syndrome, they are most likely targeting that with the hydroxy. They are probably hoping that if they can “turn down” that side of things, the fibro might also lessen.
