Hey everyone. I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather. So I've sent off for my MR. I just want to know because I've been awarded standard mobility rate will that stop whilst my MR is taking place? I'm due a payment next week and I've rang pip to find out but it's taking forever to get through πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

Mine was stopped from March to September but I was taking it to tribunal so might be different in your case

I have had this were things were stopped while the powers that be were making decisions. I said that it seemed idiotic to think that people did not need to travel, eat and keep warm still when the decision was being made. I was told it was simply easier not to give the money so they did not have the bother of clawing it back. What is worse, the worse I am the more they take advantage of and I end up bothering other people in order to reverse decisions thereby wasting any savings they may have made.

So your money stopped when you put in for a mandatory reconsideration? I thought what you had been awarded carried on whilst your MR was being dealt with? Now im really confused and worried. πŸ˜”

That was a while ago, common sense may have prevailed by now, sorry for worrying you. I tend to relay the facts as I have been through these things and know what some unsympathetic bureaucrat can be like and also found that it could be a bit if a lottery. Things have been calm for a few years now, and god do I need stability to keep the b. under control, since my doctor and a consultant made a "what the hell are you playing at" phone call to the DHSS with the addition of "are you trying to kill him" that woke them up. I know this happened courtesy of a retired receptionist. You really need these people on your side. Things are different now but some of these bureaucrats do have a god complex.

Yes your current award level money will continue to be payed while your MR is being looked. Should your award be increased then a back payment will be made to the date your original award your contesting was granted. I hope you sent in more supportive information and evidence to help you win your MR. I won mine after the assessor deemed , assumed or presumed that because I use mobility scooters I should be able to preform the activities.

Just remembered something through the fog of time and the fog in general I had some savings at the time and the system was determined that I get rid of it before they gave me a penny. Now I think you can have about Β£6000 in savings. I know it is not means tested but then they were interested in every penny. I am going to read up on it again or try to, so I am more current.

It is rather sad that I am correcting the spelling and grammar of posts I did weeks ago.
