Hi everyone, firstly thank you for the add. I have started a claim for PIP due to nervous debility, anxiety, depression, joint pain, fibromyligia as well as under-active thyroid, ibs, vitamin D deficiency. I have only recently come out from my bedroom as my depression & anxiety were at my lowest, I have had several attacks due to my anxiety. My pain seems to escalate quick when I'm stressed or very anxious but I can't seem to control my anxiety ... Thank-you ... does anyone have any advice plz 🙏

PIP is not about the medical condition. It is an assessment of your disability against a set of Daily Living and Mobility criteria, looking at what you can and can’t do. They do not care what your medical condition is. Take a look at my previous post here and you will find all the information you need to make a claim. healthunlocked.com/fibromya...

Hello, PIP is a benefit to help assist you with your daily living activities and mobility issues. PIP is not awarded on a disability, diagnosis or the amount of prescription medications you are taking. Your condition has had to been present for 3 months and expected to continue for the next 9 months or longer. You would benefit from taking a self test of PIP on the Benefits and Work site to see how you fare. Be totally honest with your self test because if you apply for PIP the answers/ information you submit in the application form will have to be justified at your face to face assessment.

It's not about the condition it's about how it impacts on your day to day life are you able to wash cook or do you need assistance/prompting???? You get points for every thing you need help with so look at that and get help/advice/support from Money Matters of other agencies

Good morning all, I have discharged from having a a couple of days and nights in hospital due to severe abdominal pain and other health issues. The doctors sent me for a CT scan which showed inflamation and they think I could have IBD, I am on morphine now when I need it and found last night at home very distressing due to pain and not being able to sleep, should I inform PIP. I am awaiting an appointment for out patients at gastroenterology so I can have camera, they asked if I have joint pain which I do lower back and my left elbow downwards x

If you have copies of letters from hospital to your GP, it can do no harm to send them to PIP as additional evidence to support your claim.
