Vertigo?

I've been getting this weird feeling 3 or 4 times a week whilst I'm asleep. I wake up suddenly, absolutely paralysed, feeling really dizzy but unable to move. It's like centrifugal force is pinning me to my bed. Makes me feel very nauseous. And I can literally hear my pulse in my head for a good 20 minutes. Could this be Fibro related? Or do I need to seek yet another diagnosis to add to my list 🤦🏼‍♀️

New symptoms should always be checked out and not assumed to be fibro related

My gp practice is quite small and has a strict ring at 8am for an appointment rule, so it can genuinely take weeks before you get a slot. I was just hoping there were others experiencing something similar so I didn't have to worry about it quite so much in the meantime 🤷🏼‍♀️

Even if others experience similar symptoms, it should still be checked out.

10 people could have the same symptoms - 9 of them, it could be their fibro but that other 1 person could have a direct cause which was treatable.

The hearing my pulse happens everyday, on and off, the dizziness comes and goes all hours too but the feeling of paralysis is just during sleeping hours and not every single night although it is increasingly often

I hear my pulsr in my esr when laying on my pillow and room spins some times it fibro for me x

Thanks for your understanding. It really is scary huh. I'm also new to fibro, only since October last year. I'll definitely be speaking to my gp it's just so difficult to get an appointment, I was hoping for a little reassurance in the meantime.

It could be something like bppv. Easily treated with the epelay manoeuvre and exercises 5 times a day plus anti seasick wristbands. But always seek medical advice.

This could be sleep paralysis, it happens to a lot of people, when you wake up but can't move. It normally doesn't last long, I used to suffer when I was younger, but thankfully it hasn't happened to me for quite some time. I would say it's not Fibro related as I had it years before I had Fibro. You should talk to your GP in case it is something else and especially if it's lasting for 20 mins, Sleep Paralysis usually only lasts for a few minutes, if that.
