Hi everyone just a quick question what side effects does anyone have on duloxetine? My recent prescription is a different name and since taking them I have been having sort of tingling and numbness in my face and a headache in the morning I'm speaking to my GP today I find they don't help with pain but I do have a good sleep 😴 thanks xx

Since I took duloxetine and came of them it’s give me severe migraines even a year and half later, I stopped them because they wasn’t even 1% helping, but when I did was like I was having withdrawals, overall since being of duloxetine and pregabalin Ive picked up 3 stone, from 7 to 8 stone to 11.

I looked deathly ill, best of giving them a miss.

Tramadol makes me vomit weather it’s 1 tablet or 3

Only thing I can really take is morphine witch is hard to get prescribed.

stopping duloxetine needs to be done over time to minimise side effects.

I did it over time I was dropping in 50mg increments. No GP would allow that

best speaking to GP and see what they say. Different brands should be made to same formulation. Also remember if you cannot talk to a GP (quick enough) about meds then a pharmacist in an excellent resource.

Im been on them4 months i couldnt sleep more thsn 2 hours before i also had crippling anxiety and panic attacks there now gone its slowed my nervous system right down i do get hives and itchy skin more often but got that before with the fibromyalgia anyway xxxx good luck

The medication should be the same even if it comes from a different manufacturer. It's worth comparing ingredients in case this is an allergic reaction.

I get headaches if I'm late taking a dose but the numbness needs investigating x

I do find I get headaches every morning, but does the job for anxiety 100 per cent , I do think I’ve put on weight being on this though but the benefits over weigh being anxious etc, glad your catching up with your doctor xx

Yes I differently have , I’ve read some people actually lose weight , not worked for me 🤣, I take mine before bedtime, I do sleep well but every morning I’m heady and does make me feel bit of a grump, trouble is I need my 2 coffees in the morning to try help get me going, hard enough to get going in general with fibro, another dull grey day here in Suffolk, that makes me want to stay under the duvet longer, not my favourite time of year, roll on Spring, x

Hi there

When I started Duloxetine about 3 months ago for pain and nerve pain for the first 2 and a bit weeks, first day was loose stools, 2nd day was delapadated and kept falling asleep and felt unwell, blurred eyes and not sleeping properly just a few hour hours. After that I picked up and the pain improved at rest for a while but after doing activity eg walking which is very limited anyway caused painful heavy lead like muscles in thighs and upper arms. I had these symptoms over a year. My gp has just increased my medication from 30mgs to 60mgs. I take one in the morning and one at 2pm. At first it made me lethargic in the afternoon but now I am just tired. The side effects have worn off now.

Kind regards

Sugarhobbit xx

Hi Mille21,

I was prescribed Duloxetine and after just one tablet I didn’t take another! I got every possible side effect, even ones that were listed as rare. My jaw was clenching, I couldn’t concentrate or compute what people were saying to me, I was agitated, I had diarrhoea, felt so close to being sick, I felt like I was drunk, like completely intoxicated! It was the worst experience of my life.
