Ya. But it’s getting better. The people accepting it. I just started saying I can’t understand it a lot of the time either that’s why it took me so long to get diagnosed because it’s al over the place it’s crazy making. Just stand your ground. If they have opinions just say I don’t give opinions about your things you don’t have to live it daily I’m dealing with specialists I listen to them.

Mine was only recognised by friends after Lady Gaga said she had it. All of a sudden it was, "oh, you've got what Lady Gaga has?", 🤔🙄🤣😅

Another reason to love Lady Gaga!

Any publicity is good, I guess!

I tell my mum stuff and she filters the information out to other people.I don't really discuss it with anyone else other than my OH and our sons.

I don't really know what other people think or believe and I don't really care either.

It would probably be different if I had a boss's attitude to worry about but that is one of the nice things about self employment.

Hello the thing with telling people of your diagnosis of Fibtomyalgia is Joe public doesn't known what it is, tell them you have cancer heart problems MS or other well know disabilities and they understand or have an idea about the illness, disability. Fibtomyalgia is an unknown illness, diagnosis, disability and the more people who are diagnosed inform the general public about Fibtomyalgia the more understanding of our conditions the better things will be. I've been told you don't look disabled, my reply is you don't look ignorant but you are.

"I've been told you don't look disabled, my reply is you don't look ignorant but you are"

I'll definitely be using that one.

Thanks!

Thanks, I have not got Fibromyalgia, but MS I have a sense of humour right off the normal spectrum. On my local town shout out page on Facebook they where asking about the Coronovirus vaccine. Some where concerned about having chips put into the vaccine, so I posted that Mc Cannes have got the contract and using crinkle cut chip as they hold more data. About two hours later a poster posted, do you work for the BBC.
