Wow, brave! I'd be interested to know how it goes. I'd heard of it from my alternative health practitioner, who suggested gluten-free, which didn't help tho. As a vegetarian with IBSD (elimination diet) and a Mediterranean diet necessary for cardiovascular reasons I couldn't go without soy, which I thankfully tolerate well, sometimes I still have to separate plant proteins from animal proteins (dairy) (I had to keep somewhat to the Hay diet 15 years ago, "separating" "carbs" & "proteins").
you could try adding L-glutamine, marshmallow root and liquorice root to that way of eating, and try to get all your plant based food to be organic, as the chemicals can be one of the causes of leaky gut, (best way to clean off chemicals is to soak veg in water and bicarbonate of soda). gluten can cause leaky gut too. hop this helps.
