Fatigue sucks

Do you sometimes find that the fatigue/exhaustion is a lot more wearing than the actual pain? When I'm in pain only, I can normally keep my head in a good place and easily lift my mood with music/dance. But the last few days I feel utterly exhausted and nothing will lift my mood. I just want to lay down and be a bum lol.

I can usually work through the pain unless it's really severe, but when fatigue hits hard it floors me.

Ditto my lovely. All i have done is sleep the past few days 😴😴. I'm in so much pain as well. I don't sleep well at night for some reason the pain is worse at night(unless I just think it is). I feel so bad sleeping during the day because of my children even though they are 11, 12 and 17 and two who live abroad studying at uni they are 23 and 24. I know my 2 youngest are at school but i still feel bad because I should be able to do things with them when they get home from school. My daughter who is 17 does the cleaning for me (, she's doing school work from home until after the lockdown ends). She takes my youngest to school and i have so much guilt because i should be taking him and picking him up. I wish i didn't suffer from fibromyalgia and endometriosis 🙄🙄. I hope you start feeling better soon 💜💛x

Yes I also have endometriosis as well as fibromyalgia and spend everyday in pain but the thing that gets me down the most is not sleeping 😢

Yes it’s like catch 22 as the saying goes, it seems some days the pain stops us in our tracks and another it severe fatigue, I’m having a slow day and I don’t which is worse , props both, but later il reward myself with a bar of chocolate, get on my Netflix after a soak in some nice smelling Epsom’s salt s and hope tomorrow will be better😀, I do like my music too, yesterday I was watching my 2 grandsons dancing it made me smile aged 6 and 3 xx

I’ve started having a bath in the evening,it saves a bit of energy in the morning. I can’t shower cos I get dizzy.

Sorry to hear you all having a bad time, but glad not to be the only one - it does help, somehow. I completely understand the guilt about feeling like I'm not doing enough, but I try really hard to congratulate myself for achieving even the smallest of things. I've found listening to audiobooks really useful for getting through days when I can't do much - I mainly suffer fatigue, but being flawed by it means my muscles stiffen, then come the migraines. The audiobooks seem to help distract my mind from the fatigue and or discomfort (but no good for migraines) and I can listen to them for free from my library using BorrowBox app, so I don't also have to feel guilty about another cost.

Thank you all for your replies 😊 It's reassuring to hear (but obviously not nice for us all to experience) that I'm not the only one - I really do feel for you all. Be kind to yourselves and take care xx

Oh yes, I absolutely agree; the fatigue is the killer. I find that, for me anyway, the solution is to do a little (maybe 5 or 10 mins, depending on the heaviness of the task), then sit down at the PC for about the same length of time, no longer, as I start to seize up! I do this most of the day, and it works for me.

Cheers, Midori

People would think that managing or getting the pains down would solve a great deal of the fibro-problems. But I have and it's made coping with my life easier, but hasn't changed "my radius" much at all. I could hardly work, go out, etc. now I can hardly work etc.... O.o
