Sleep is a problem with Fibro, sometimes I am awake for hours, although I find a milky drink such as Ovaltine or Horlicks helps, also a banana. There are other foods that can help, such as Turkey meat and lettuce.

Perhaps if you have your main meal earlier than usual, then try a lettuce and Turkey sandwich, perhaps banana after and a milky drink; or if it sounds too much a couple of hours before bed try just a banana and a milk drink.

I find they help me, basically as Turkey has Tryptofan, lettuce is a soporific, bananas have potassium and milk drinks have long been used to aid sleep for donkey's years.

If you have pain which stops you sleeping, have a couple of painkillers too.

Cheers, Midori

Hi suziw, I take duloxetine and have done for about 3 years, I find that it doesn’t help with the pain, but it does lift my mood, I also take a sleeping pill to sleep, that works fine for me.

Yes I was taking them and they seemed to be lifting my mood then all of a sudden they started making me feel really sick vomiting and headaches I’m just waiting to speak to my doctor to see if there is a reason for this , and maybe he can give me something similar
