Botulinum Toxin Injections

Morning all, Hope you are all well.

I have a neurologist consultation today and I think I will be having the above injections for pain. Has anyone had these before? What would I expect after? I am pretty nervous.

Botox was brilliant for me. Although the first set I had hurt my neck a lot so they spread the next injections out more the second round. I almost didnt let them give me the second round bc it was so bad but im always so grateful they managed to convinced me to continue bc its been so helpful. They halved the frequency and the intensity of my migraines. I had it for about 6 years, every time they stopped it I would gradually get worse until they started doing it again.

Thanks for the reply Cat! Glad someone has had it done aha. I had 3 injections in the upper neck area and I must admit so far I am pain free. I have still had headaches and migraines and currently typing this with a headache but not bad so far. Where did you have your injections?

I normally have 33 injections all over the scalp with NHS. I would have thought 3 injections is no where near enough. I know private clinics don't really give migraine botox effectively bc they don't give you enough injections.
