MY LATEST EXERCISE TO FREE MUSCLES

I do this soon after I wake up and it has really helped me.

You need a bed with an old fashioned low headboard.

Lie on your back with your head close to the headboard. Hold the top of the headboard with both hands. Hold your hands tightly at the same time as pointing your toes. Stretch yourself, making yourself as long as you can. Pull with your hands and point your toes as far as they can go.

Do this about five times.

I find that I can get off the bed and walk with ease. Amazing. I do it again in the day if I am near a bed. It frees my muscles.

I always do some stretching exercises before I get out of bed in morning. I couldn't do the one you suggest, as l struggle putting my arms above my head ... But agree that a good stretch of your full body does you good xxx

hi singeranne, I too have to loosen up every morning with stretching exercises, also throughout the day if I do too much. I took up tai chi last year, very beneficial for all joints .

During lockdown it has been difficult but manage to do some of the moves with online videos. I'm nearly 81 and have always been very active. Miss walking my dogs as sometimes too exhausted . take care x

Love tai chi but find my stability has worsened to do many of there moves. Now only attempt Qui Gong. I admired you as you are older than I . I have something to work for.

Will give it a try in the morning. Seems better that the curl that the PT has given me but now I will do that and then the long stretch. Thanks.
