Hello - having been given a possible early ra or palindromic arthritis diagnosis, I am now told it may be fibromyalgia. All bloods were normal except raised rheumatoid factor. Symptoms are joint pain, stiffness all over on & off, especially after rest, hands joints v painful with some swelling in the morning. Pain at night, tingling, aching, especially hands & feet, felt like I’d been poisoned last night. Im finding it hard to work with the tiredness now. I’d love to hear from anyone who has experienced similar or has an idea what is going on for me. ss

Recent possible fibro diagnosis
Hi Sunnyseas, and a very warm welcome to the forum, where you will find friendship, support and information.
If you would like to go to our main website at fmauk.org and look at the banner running across the top of the page, you will see the word Information. If you click on that you will find lots of useful information, and also some of the symptoms of fibromyalgia, which you may find helpful.
Welcome to the forums. Raised rheumatoid factor is an indication that there is inflammation showing - generally for a Fibromyalgia diagnosis this would also come back as normal.
The swelling is not a symptom of fibromyalgia, we get pain but not inflammation so that may mean there is another autoimmune thing happening. I also have a very high ANA level in my bloods but the doctor doesn’t know why this is. The pain and fatigue sound very familiar though. You just need to go through the process of eliminating all other options before they’ll diagnose fibro. Have you had the trigger point test? That is a good indicator.
