Hi,How have any of you got a diagnosis? I THiNK I may have fibro,I have been to my gp at least 5 times in the last year with extreme fatigue, every bone and muscle in my body is screaming at me,I am either boiling hot or freezing cold and I require assistance getting out of bed or out of a chair! I have sharp shooting pains if a night time in my legs and feet and am stiff as a board for most of the day! My gp won't even entertain the idea of Fibro?!?!? X

Hi Hun, my gp referred me to a rheumatologist and she diagnosed me. Can’t you see a different gp if this one isn’t supportive?

I hope you get support soon Hun. Take care, stay warm and gentle hugs xx

That’s good to know Hun. Let us know how you get on. You certainly can’t go on like this and more importantly you shouldn’t have to.

Take care lovely xx

Afternoon I'm really sorry to hear whats going on with you, I'm finding through being on our forum many people struggle to get a diagnosis , I too had the same problem for years not being listened too either, in spring of this year I changed my doctor but at same surgery he was so in touch and diagnosed me with pressure points test , checked bloods they were fine generally listened to what I said was going on it was like a huge weight actually being told. I see you are seeing someone different today so hoping that goes better for you. Just like to say welcome to the forum it might be helpful to lock your posts as generally gets more responses from members if posts are locked and not open to anyone out there on the internet here's the healthunlocked.com/fibromya... take care xxx

I would like to bring out a clothing line for people with fibro made out of soft dressing gown material or terrytowelling which is soft but make the designs supportive of the frame but also stylish just a dream I have fibro but find most materials uncomfortable no elastic or zips

_mandi76 profile image
_mandi76 in reply to Gurtie

What a great idea!!! X

Gurtie profile image
Gurtie

Thank you I have nice clothes but live in my soft fleece pjs so I thought if I could use the soft material and make day clothes I would be comfortable and stylish women would love the soft and sweat absorbant terrytowelling bra and undies without elastic and contoured cup support of a double layer of terrytowelling to lift and support Brest tissue without any constricted wires or elastic the straps could cross over the back as a y shape for back support I'm always trying to think of ideas to reduce pain

I had foot surgery and surgeon referred me to a rheumatologist to see if I had rheumatoid arthritis but after tests I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia ask to be referred to a specialist of your doctor won’t acknowledge your condition you are entitled to seek a second opinion
