Hello to all my wonderful friends. I haven't written for a while and you were all so great when I was in desperate need of encouragement and support a couple of weeks ago, I thought I would return the favour and ask how you are all doing. Obviously my situation hasn't changed much, but we are soldiering on together. At least the weather has been pretty good and we have been able to potter a bit in our small garden. My youngest daughter brought us some old kiddy jigsaws from her loft and we are working our way through them at the moment. Seeing as conversation is pretty limited here, I would love to hear how you are all passing your time and keeping your spirits up. Seeing as we aren't going out the daily excitement seems to be planning what we are having for lunch! Getting a bit bored with the TV. I am not too good on the technology so keeping connected is mainly down to the odd phone calls, or a quick comment on facebook.Anyway would love to hear from you. Take care and stay safe!xxx
Hello there!: Hello to all my wonderful... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Hello there!
I am glad you are managing ok. My Dad is who has been self isolating with his wife for about 6 weeks now is doing jigsaws and colouring to pass the time. I am doing his shopping and putting it on his doorstep and stepping away and talking to him at a distance. As for me I am baking a lot but I did accidentally drop my Easter cake which was completely flattened!
Take care and hopefully all this will soon be over.

Planning meals seems to be a source of excitement here too! And I have done quite a bit of baking - cakes and biscuits - some of which we’ve had to drop off at my parents’ door so we don’t put on weight eating them all 😆
Other than that, I’ve been in the garden topping up my tan...I mean...freckles (redhead alert) 👩🏻🦰 And I set up a 13-foot pool in the garden with a bungee rope attached to a tree so I can swim on the spot. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s great!! I normally swim 3 times a week, so I was really missing it.
I’ve also been walking the dog most days. But today I felt like utter rubbish, so have been in my pyjamas. It’s been quite nice to be honest.
I have to go back to work tomorrow (working from home - but returning from the long weekend). Honestly, I’m not really looking forward to it. But it pays the bills, so can’t complain too loudly.
I’ll go for a swim once the work day is over to reward myself...or punish myself...depending how cold the water is tomorrow 🥶 xx
Crikey. You have been really busy. At least you haven't got bored. My eldest daughter and son- in-law are still working from home, plus she has my 25 year old grandson on ??furlow . He and his dad have made a DIY gym in the garage. My youngest 's family are decorating. So all keeping busy. Shame we can't go out, but DH is not great on his feet, so wouldn't be walking far anyway. At least we have our small garden. Take care. xx
Yes, trying to make an effort. Still in a lot of pain though, stress and flare, I think. I imagine a lot of us are the same. I don't think we will ever be the old 'normal' again. But, whatever it is , let's hope it will be over sooner rather than later! Stay safe. xx
Hello, nice to read your post, doing okay managing to post up some seeds for greenhouse, alittle weeding now and then, cold days was baking a cake etc so trying to keep my mind off things. Yes doing some txts band phone calls, missing my family, but mostly my 2 little grandboys aged 3 and 5. The little one who is 3 asked mummy when is Grandad coming to get me and we go back to nannie ya ya s house (that’s me) my world is very empty without him as we normally see him 3/4 times a week and his brother is normally in school comes back to play. Take care xxxx
So sad. We aren't into skype??? whatever, not clever enough, so are reduced to phone calls. They grow up so quickly. We have 2 grandchildren, the eldest 25. I used to look after him when his mum went back to work, 2 days a week and in school hols. Long time ago. Our granddaughter is now 14 and they live close by. Used to pick her up from school when her mum was working (part time shifts) or more recently she would come from school, but don't see her so much now. Stay safe! xx
Always FaceTime if you have iPhones or Zoom/Houseparty apps are really easy to use to see family via webcam x Hope this helps Emma
Thanks Mdaisy. Do have iPhone but concentration not great and really need someone ??granddaughter to show me, but that isn't possible just now. Not too sad, my daughter and family popped by on their way to local shop today and we had a few minutes chat, them on pavement, we on front doorstep. That was nice. She is doing our shopping for us. Stay safe. xx
Hi ShelWhitt I've been keeping in contact with family via iPhone, walking the dogs once a day. Been doing a bit of painting around the house. Offering support on the Positive Wellbeing Community, set up by HU during this period to help people and offer ideas through this period of isolation and restriction as any people are very unsettled by the current situation. It is good to know you are getting through things and I hope you are keeping well and safe. xx
Good to hear from you again bobbybobb, and that you are keeping busy. We have been catching up with lots of tidying and clearing out so not been on here to chat for a while. The only good thing at the moment is the weather so have made the most of it this afternoon and had a lazy read in the sun! Stay safe. xx
