Does any one feel fluid retention ??my legs swollen compared to the other xx
Yes my hands are always slightly swollen and tingly/numbish in the morning too.
Yes, me too, sometimes my feet and legs as well. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
I've not noticed any swelling but my Hani do go numb quite often.
Fluid retention can have many causes, so it's best checked out by your gp
Yes
Me too. Swelling and pins and needles in hands and feet, also back of my head.
Yes exactly the same here x
If you are not very mobile your leg problem could be dvt and you should get it checked out. When sitting try and put your legs up too as that will reduce swelling. Put hands in bowl of warm water when you get up and exercise them. This will make the swelling go down quicker, then massage hand cream in. If you are not happy with doc, find another. There may be a fibro group in your area you could go to someone might be able to recommend a doc. Good luck and please get that leg checked
Thank u I went docs they said if it goes down its ok wich it did so so strange I've very active and still working but don't think il be able to much longer x
Hello Lauren, It is possibly a symptom that follows on from the issues fibro causes. I some times have swollen ankles but this really helpful lady (nothing to do with doctors on the NHS) who does my trigger point/massage says it can be a sign of not drinking enough water, stress and also not enough movement. Massage does help and trying to move about more (if possible) or if yo have it in your ankles/legs its best to elevate your legs a little
Best wishes
Debs
Thanks debs there's just do many symptoms everyday is a different nightmare xxx
Thanks xxxx
You should definitely go and get it checked (even with the dodgy doc).
They should send you for a ECG in the first instance, just to be on the safe side.
Had same problem a good few years ago. Mine gradually got worse over the space of 24 months. Eventually extended from ankles to below my knees.
Got a telling off for not getting checked when I first noticed.
Hiya went docs yesterday she said if it goes down its fine it did do but it's just odd as I wake up and can't feel me hands some times I've said all this to them I've been docs 11 times in 6 months x
I started with the top of my feet swollen, while on a weeks holiday. So assumed it was due to being more active than normal.
Went away after 2 days then returned couple of months later and gradually got higher every time. This went on for couple of years.
Now seems to have stopped of its own accord, touch wood over a year now.
You need to have it checked by a doc asap
I did it went down she said if it goes down its ok I'm so sick of keep going docs for every little Symtom it's driving me mad but I need that reassurance my Symtoms are sharp stabbing pains all over body ibs constantly peeling night sweats pins and needles feeling like my arms and legs go numb insomnia cluster head aches blurred vision I've told doc and been for nearly all of these Symtoms I also itch I need to wait to see specialist 3rd of March to hopefully diagnose me I've had enough I also get terrible stomach aches my stools are always different and blurry vision at times every day I live with it sorry to rant but I'm so ill x
Also throat spasms this weird horrible feeling in my throat and sore breasts it's doing me in but atleast if I see a specialist he or she can say it's fibromyalgia that's all o need until then I feel like I'm dying and there missing something or fibro really is this awful I forgot the muscle twitches legs jumping when I'm trying to sleep and the back pain like I've been in car crash as well as the heart beating wich I constantly hear in my ear it's really stressful makes me depressed xxxxx
