Am I crazy 😜? I feel this dog is my best friend and is the only one that understands my pain. She knows when I need a hug 🤗 or kisses 😘 or even just a friend to sit by my side.

What a beauty, dogs are very much in tune, men’s best friend and why not so loyal, id love a dog but hubbie not keen at moment. I remember cuddling up with our last family dog miss those licky kisses and cuddles xx

I know, we had a little female staffie it was really my daughters dog but with full time work , holidays etc she lived with us , so gentle but we cried for ages when cancer got her the 2nd time, my time will come one day, for now my daughters brown lab Penny is gorgeous and gives me lots of love. Looking at your lovely picture they look very similar ❤️

My Hector is a Border Collie x Poodle and doesn’t shed any hair at all. It’s brilliant. Just something to consider regarding the mess argument 😉
Seriously though, I get that it’s not necessarily right for your wife. How about befriending a neighbour with a dog and offering to dog sit now and again? Xx
She is called Cowrie (after the shell 🐚) . She is actually my friends dog and she is a teacher so I get to look after Cowrie in term times. I have looked after since she was 3 and she is going to be 10 this year. She has arthritis now and is going blind so I always think we have aged together. 😉lol. I also was a teacher but disabilities got in the way. Without Cowrie I don’t know what I would have done as she was my councillor, psychiatrist and best friend.
So to ramble but I just thought it would be good to share how beneficial animals are. Take care and enjoy the rest of the day. Xx

We sure do.😘Great name Dexter also. All the puppies in Cowries litter were named after a shell. I wish I could have my own dog but....... well with this illness very hard thing. So great to borrow a dog and also help someone else. Xx
Crazy??? NO !! A dog will never let you down or criticize, and accept all the love you can give it. ( I was once told that Dog is the mirror image of God). My lurcher is my reason to carry on, and I will do so as long as he needs me.

Animals are so in tune with us, I have 4 cats (all rescues) who go everywhere with me (even the bathroom isn't sacred in our house!)
When I have a bad migraine & in bed most of the day they don't leave me, though sometimes I do wonder who the bed actually belongs to!
Dogs, Cats 🐾.... any animals are just the best for pain 🐾

You are not imagining it they seem to have a wonderful empathy and know when we need them the most. They make us laugh and help us to forget the pain. They also make us take exercise and all in all worth their weight in gold.x
Dogs and horses are the most empathetic friends we could have; they don't criticise, but they let you know when they are unhappy with you.

I would be totally lost without my fur babies they are my reason for getting up each day. My hubby is a chef who works full time and so does my son so it’s me and the pups lucky I have a wonderful neighbor who comes in and walks the young one twice a day and let’s the old one downstairs or I couldn’t keep them as I have found 10 month old lab x collie pup stairs and crutches don’t mix very well xx

Thanks 😊. I figured that if I was talking to Cowrie in the way I do , people would think I was crazy 😜. However thanks to you and all the other posts here I don’t care if anyone does. I have such a great experience with the dog and she helps me so much and I give her complete attention ( when she is awake lol ) that we indeed are best friends. Mans best friend?
