I’ve had my date for appeal for jan 14th. I would like to revisit CAB for advice but when I went on Thursday my day off work they were closed for staff training and I’m not off till Christmas Eve, I’ve tried and tried to get them by phone but no luck so I sent an email to an address I found on their websites but no reply, I’m worried about the appeal as I work full time as retail store manager because I can’t afford not to, so how do I convince them how ill I am and although I’m in work full time I’m not able to do my job properly because I can’t retain things, I have to keep taking rest breaks and can do this because I have amazing staff and I always want to look efficient and not dwell on all the things that are wrong.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL XX

Get some evidence that your employer has made reasonable adjustments for your illness.

Maybe a letter stating you have to take extra breaks etc. Anything that you have to do to enable you to work this job. Like delegating to other staff things that you used to be able to do yourself. How you feel after working full time each week. Do you take sick leave to recover ?

Perhaps make a list & put it into a letter. Bullet points make it easy for the tribunal to understand

Good luck

Hi there,

You can ring a charity called turn2us, they help people with appeals such as pip. They are based in London but anyone can give them a call.

Pip is awarded for people who are in employment. Pip gives you the means to live independently and you have the finances to go to physio, travel by cab because getting by car hurts your muscle...etc. Hope all goes well.

I will hear my pip decision by the end of Jan but will not appeal if I lose, have no energy..,🌲💐🌹🎄
