The Kangarrellypig!

The Kangarrellypig is something that my partner made up for his children, years ago. When they were upset or frustrated, he used to tell them about this poor mixed up creature who didn't know who it was. I have adopted this " Kangarellypig" as my fibromyalgia, because, for the life of me , I can't get my b****y head around it. It absolutely takes your life over. It's so complex, and it must be the illness that has the most side effects and symptoms. If you're not fighting one thing off, another comes along and messes up you're day. And to top it all if you aren't in pain, you go to the local shop and totally mess up in front of a captive audience, because you can't work out the money or something totally silly. You may look great, make up on hair done, made a special effort because it's a good day, and then, just one silly thing, absolutely does it. And you feel 5 years old again. We have a hidden illness. I am going to look around for little things that will help us, e.g Sainsburys are doing a lanyard for invisible illnesses. Little things go so far. My local Co-op have begun to understand me, because they are nice people and I have explained to them, in a quick way that they understand. The problem is that when it's bad. It's absolutely mind blindingly horrible. I hope I can say this here, but, I'm a Yorkshire lass, I love to speak as I find. But my God I really b****y sympathize with everyone of you. Try get through Christmas, Take the small pleasures and remember them. Grit your teeth. Do what YOu can Do. And then tell em all to s*d off! Happy and pain free Christmas is my present to you.

Gosh! How that brings back memories!

My father used to tell me stories of the 'Antiostra-ellacroca-kangarossa cow!' When I was a child. Thank you for reviving the memory!

Cheers, Midori
