Hi I've just found this site, my names Rosie and I got diagnosed in October with fibromyalgia. So any information I welcome.
Truth be told, I have been feeling very low since I got diagnosed. I had a lot of worries and stresses in my life before getting diagnosed but seems worst now. I have a very partner that helps me when I'm in yo much pain to walk or even get up but I also worry about putting to much on him as his not long been diagnosed with arthritis.
I also have really bad worries about my 2 little boys and feel like I have nobody to talk to about that.
Sounds a little silly but right now it's my kitten that keeps me going when all these things are up in the air.

Hi
We are all here for you .I'm so pleased you have a wonderful partner,my hubby is great too. Have you got a close friend or family member who you could talk to and who would help out when needed? Is your Dr the sort who will listen. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Hi thanks for your message, I have a really good doctor and I ended up breaking down last time I saw him but luckily enough he had some helpful advice. All my family and friends are more than 400 miles away as my partner wanted a fresh start and not long after the move my health got worst and kinda hard to meet people when ya can't get out ya house lol. Xdd
Probably your kitten is a pleasant distraction from the stress you feel at the moment. Good family support is needed and you sound like you have a very good family unit. You can get lots of advice, good ideas and support from this site. xx
Thank you for your message! Ye your 100% right about my kitten 🙃 I think his site is great all ready, you can let things out without being judged + it means I don't always have to feel like I'm bothering my partner. Thanks again xx
Fibro’s a miserable condition. I imagine it as a really ugly, grey, spiky blob I’d take great pleasure in kicking over a cliff, if I had the energy and it wouldn’t hurt my foot !
Learn as much as you can and learn what works for you. Beware of chasing any “ miracle cure” ads you see online.
Start with the cheapest—- gel insoles (Superdrug’s own brand is as good as more expensive ones) hot water bottles, Epsom salts in a bath. I’ve found Solpadeine headache work well. A tens machine ( I paid £20 from Lloyd’s Pharmacy). These are things that work for me, but we each have to work out what works for us.
Fibro is even tougher when you have others to consider and care for. Work out every energy saving ( yours, not electricity!) strategy you can afford. Have groceries delivered, a dishwasher, could someone do the ironing for you ? Encourage the children to put their toys and clothes away.
Make sure you eat healthily and all your vitamins are optimal. And drink plenty of fluids.
Just stay with us hun,we often help each other on numerous things..
If you can afford it, try and get an electric blanket which you put on your side of the bed...it really helps to soothe achy bones at the end of the day...take care
