Walking
Hi
I've been exactly the same, I've had to phone many people to come and pick me up. Anyway, we bought a 3 wheeled walker with seat , it's great because every time I need to sit down I've got a ready seat to sit on. Please take care Lynne

Try to pace your walking and do little but often.
Walking is an activity that you can gradually build up on, and be able to manage further.
Start with what you can do now without exhausting yourself /flaring pain. That might be to the end of the garden path, or it might be 5 minutes.
Walk this distance once it twice a day then have a rest after. After a few days, try increasing the distance ie to the first lamppost or for an extra 30 seconds. Again do this distance for a few days then increase again.
You should slowly find that you are able to walk longer distances without bringing on a flare. You may still find it painful, but I know for me personally in in as much pain walking 5 steps as I am 5 minutes xxx
