If I could go back πŸ€” ..to when??.. omg I can't really remember when 😳..Dr's ask...how you feeling??...my reply..." I'm ok'..when really...you wouldn't believe me even if if I told you πŸ˜•..

Only a true Fibromyalgia patient would really understand the pain we go through...I admit I do get good moments..n no I'm not in a wheelchair yet, but I have asked for a stick πŸ€”..OMG..what I'd do to be pain free..πŸ˜”...at those times of desperation..to be calm...

I'm learning how to breathe atm..along side a TENS machine...it seems to be working...though I could do with a trip to Amsterdam 😊..

I'd love answers to question's I'm not sure of how to put across to the right one listening...if that makes sense..

It Feckin' hurt's!!

You tell them your OK!

I think FINE to be a better descriptor,, but it always struggles out of my mouth in a very tight lipped sort of way,,, I think we get so used to trying to put on a brave face and pretend to the world so we are not seen as moaners,,, and sure anyway we look FINE! At the end of the day we don't know up from down or black from white,,, but it hurts of that we can be sure.

Sitting here from 3am with TMJ going crazy mad,, but I'm FINE and the world is none the wiser!! Oh god I just want some sleep,,,,,,,

Best Wishes,,, Ray

Hi

How are you feeling this morning?

Had about 3 hours sleep last night which is fantastic for me!! I normally get about an houror less then pain wakes me up!! Think I must have been exhausted. I usually say I'm not do bad and then Dave looks at me so I have to tell whoever exactly how it is. Best wishes and take care. Lynne

Hi there, welcome to our group:) I have had Fibro for about 35 years and yep I'm a wheelchair user. But having a to use a wheel chair is not the end result for everyone :)

I also have OA in lower spine and now unfortunately serious feet issues. So a lot of that could count for the reason I need the chair.

I agree the pain is horrendous at times. But I think for the most part having it so long its kind of the norm for me now.

I think the only reason sometimes people think we look fine is simply because they don't see us on the days we really do struggle or can't leave the house.

Yes I tend to say I'm ok too. One thing I've learnt most people who ask how you are do it out of politeness but sadly don't want to stand and listen about how bad we really are. I for one can understand that to a great extent.

Hi mummydawn4, suffering pain day in day out just feels 'normal ' when you have fibromyalgia. If I am in pain then at least I know I'm not dead yet! Saying I am fine is just part of being British and anyway who wants to hang about with someone who is always moaning? you are right to say that only someone with fibromyalgia understands but also we are all different.

Never say I am fine or I am OK to the Doctor. You could say " I am coping with what i have got as best I can". Or you could say "I am coping better today than Yesterday or not as well as Yesterday". This keeps the problem on the radar.

This is a legal issue. I have been though the courts. I had to listen to a psychiatrist claiming everything had recovered because I had not discussed the problem with the doctor for a few years.

Yes, My wheelchair is sniggering in the corner, whispering 'I told you so!' to me as I stagger about. The last few weeks have been exhausting, especially as I am (trying) to pack to move! I do my best to stay out of it, but am beginning to think the time has come.
