Hi.am new here.im male.60 years old.ive had erythromelagia for 25 years which causes burning pain.over the last 2 years ive started to have extra pain which comes & goes all over.hips,legs,neck,lower back,chest & stomach.like everyone else all blood tests have came back negative.im on setraline & amatryptylin which doesnt help atall with the pain.i asked the doctor if this is all connected,only to be told that he can only deal with 1 symtom at a time & he thinks its stress.my god after 25 years of being ill i know when my symtoms change.defo think the pain is fibro but doc is not interested.alot of people with em also have fibro so wondering what you guys think.

Sorry you are feeling so rotten. I must admit it does seem like fibromyalgia, your Dr should really refer you to a rheumatologist. Could you see a different Dr? Please take care Lynne

Is there another GP in the surgery who you could see? If not, go back to your GP and tell them that you want a referral to a rheumatologist. They will most likely refuse, as it's extremely hard now to get a referral for a rheumatologist, but if they do refuse then ask them if it's possible you have fibromyalgia, as you do not believe that it is stress related.

Think it is time to change your doctor. This is all part of the same condition, and if we all had to do it one thing at a time, we'd be blocking up surgeries for months!
