Do I have Fibromyalgia?
Hello and welcome to the group I am not sure why you would think you have fibro ? Maybe your symptoms are more likely to do with your enlarged blood cells. Has no one here is medically qualified to answer your question it would be hard to say. Looking at the symptoms for your blood cell issues it sounds it could be the cause of your muscle pain etc.
There are multiple causes of enlarged red blood cells, which is termed macrocytosis, and most of them are easily corrected. Two of the most common causes are deficiencies in vitamin B12 and folic acid, which are frequently associated with anemia, as well.
If you are deficient in any of these it stands to reason you would feel tired and painful. All you can do is wait for the results from your haematologist and follow his/her advice. I hope all go's well for you . Do you have a date for your appointment yet ? Please let us know how you get on xx

Your symptoms could be the cause of a range of conditions. They also sound like symptoms caused by stress. If you're stressed you'll have trouble sleeping and suffer from constipation, which, in turn will give you the symptoms of fatigue. Try not to work yourself up into finding a diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I know how hard it is to wait for doctors to find a diagnosis, they seem to take forever when all you want is to know why you never feel well. Your symptoms could be something that is easily rectified. If you are diagnosed with fibro, then we are all here to support you. Let's hope you get a positive answer. Good luck.
Ask to have your B12, ferritin, folate and VitD checked by a blood test. If you have enlarged red blood cells it may be due to low B12. That can definitely cause all the symptoms you describe.
I was told many years ago that I have enlarged red blood cells and that it can be due to alcoholism! My then GP seemed convinced that I must have had a drink problem even though I never have and on the whole back then I was quite well in myself. I've never been advised to take anything for it and I believe my late Mum had the same. In my case I would say that it doesn't have anything to do with my fibro.
